FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

  • Do You Take Insurance?
At this time, TAR Education in Motion, LLC does not accept insurance. However, some families choose to send their insurance companies their invoices directly in order to potentially receive payment. Superbills will include the data that insurance companies require, such as invoice amounts, dates of service, diagnosis and treatment codes, and provider license information. TAR Education in Motion, LLC cannot guarantee that the costs of the examination or therapy will be covered by your insurance. Clients are responsible for speaking with their insurance providers directly to obtain information pertinent to their individual plans by asking about their "out of network" benefits. Ask your insurance provider for details such as the number of visits that are permitted annually, the reimbursement rate, the ICD-10 codes that are covered, the permitted CPT codes, etc. When evaluation reports or therapy notes are required by their insurance provider, clients are responsible for informing TAR Education in Motion directly. The customer will be given any reports or treatment notes, and it is their responsibility to submit them to their insurance provider.

With the intention of offering the most information about available treatments, we named ourselves Education in Motion. We kindly ask that a parent attend the session and be able to fully attend to their child's therapy session. You will get the most from the treatment hour if you can ensure that.
  • How Many Sessions Are Recommended?

  • What Will My Child's Therapy Session Look Like?
When considering in-home occupational therapy and speech therapy for your child, the main objective is to offer personalized interventions that cater to your child's specific needs. These therapies are designed to aid in their overall development, communication skills, social interactions, and daily functioning, all from the comfort of your home. Occupational therapy focuses on helping your child with sensory integration, motor skills (both fine and gross), self-care abilities, play and social skills, behavioral strategies, and fostering independence in their daily routines. If you do not already have sensory equipment at home, we can make suggestions depending on your child's unique needs or use other materials you already have. In speech therapy, the emphasis is on enhancing your child's communication skills, both in terms of expressing themselves clearly and understanding others. This includes social communication, pragmatic language skills for social situations, and addressing any articulation or speech sound concerns. Crucially, both therapies actively involve families. You're not just observers; you're participants in your child's progress. These therapies aim to provide you with tools and strategies that extend beyond the sessions, creating an environment that nurtures growth, communication, independence, and social engagement.
  • What Do I do, If I Do Not Have Sensory Equipmet For Therapy?
If you don't have access to specific sensory equipment for in-home occupational therapy services for your autistic child, rest assured that there are still numerous effective strategies and interventions that an occupational therapist can recommend. We can work together to utilize common household items creatively. Soft blankets, textured fabrics, and cushions can provide tactile input, while DIY sensory tools made from rice, beans, or sensory bottles can offer visual and tactile stimulation. Engaging your child in arts and crafts, outdoor play, movement activities, cooking, and baking can all contribute to sensory experiences. I can guide you in selecting appropriate activities that align with your child's sensory preferences and developmental goals. By using resources readily available to you, we can create a sensory-friendly environment that supports their growth and well-being. We can also make recommendations if you would like to find the right sensory equipment for your child to work on self-regulation. If you're uncertain about where to start, I'm here to provide tailored strategies and recommendations based on your child's unique sensory needs. Together, we can foster a nurturing environment that promotes sensory exploration and development.
