Occupational Therapist (Per Diem)

Silver Spring, MD; Washington DC; Rockville MD
**Job Type**  

Contract, Per Diem
 

**Responsibilities**
- Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine occupational therapy needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for clients
- Provide relevant services that exemplify best practices in occupational therapy
- Monitor progress and make adjustments to treatment plans as needed
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care
- Maintain accurate and detailed client records within an appropriate timeframe
- Educate parents on techniques for improving occupational therapy goals in the home setting

**Skills**
- Strong planning, organization skills, independent 
- Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A caring personality and a passion for your job

​

**Qualifications**
- Experience with autistic children and children with special needs required, min. of 1 year
- Sensory skill and behavior management training highly preferred
- Reliable and good communication
- Education: Master's degree or PhD in Occupational Therapy
- Valid MD license and NBCOT certification
